Welcome to ELPACst

The ELPACst test has been developed by EUROCONTROL (the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation) to meet the European Commission’s language proficiency requirements in English for student air traffic controllers as specified in the Community air traffic controller licence (effective May 17th 2010).

This website on the ELPACst test provides information of interest to student air traffic controllers, Air Navigation Service Providers, National Supervisory Authorities, ATC Licensing Authorities and teachers of English for aviation.

Through this website you will be kept informed about test development and test implementation.

Sample versions of ELPACst Paper 1 and a PowerPoint presentation of Paper 2 are available - go to the menu: "Sample test and materials".

ELPACst was released in January 2010 and is located on the ELPAC server.

ELPACst replaces the PELA test for student air traffic controllers.
